Assignment 212 - Working to a Photo Imaging Project Brief

For this assignment I use my second theme in Location Photography – Location City.

I intend to create a calendar for a fallowing year using photographs from my last years weekend in London.

Steps to follow

As I have already images to work with, the fallowing steps will be:

• Select appropriate images for post-production
• Make selection of twelve photographs suitable for the task
• Show to my tutor selected final images
• Find appropriate website or software in order to create a calendar

Estimate of Resources

All estimates at the beginning of any project are the best guess when the project is initiated, these can be widely inaccurate depending upon the size and complexity of the project but should where possible take into consideration all know things at this time.

In this instance the resources relate to:

• Time
• Images available & possible editing
• Numerous of sites providing photo creating into calendars
• Funds to buy that services

Estimate of Time

Time is always a difficult factor to estimate, normally under estimation is what occurs as any day to day responsibilities take over and some tasks may take longer than anticipated and as usual time is my enemy, because no much time is left till end of the course.

So for this project the time estimate is around two weeks till final print and about one week to write a description about everything what was done.

Estimate of Cost

Again like Resource and Time cost estimates can vary in accuracy so in this case I have no idea how much will cost me to print calendar, so the best thing to do leave this point open.

Legal and Ethical Considerations

With any changes to processes and more so when the internet is incorporated there are both legal and ethical considerations to consider, the most important ones are identified below:

• Any image included has full copyright

• All people( if shown) are sign relevant consent forms (image release / age consent)
• All images should not show any personal information of those shown
• Any images do not break any obscenity or disability discrimination laws

My main aim for this unit is provide clear and consistent evidence of resource, time and cost estimation. Also - information, which indicates clear evidence of understanding and work, with a high level of independence.
